Taco Cabana in Austin

Don't get much for your money, portions are skimpy, staff is disinterested in you...what's not to love!? And the meat doesn't seem real at all - just another great reason to try this place! If you want really (and I mean really) sub-par food, this is just the place for you!

They have some delicious Flautas for a good price.

Great tasting tacos and a fresh place to be in the summer. Could use a bit more meat in the tacos, though.

Not good at all. Breakfast tacos were horrible (undercooked), restaurant was filthy and service was ok.

Pretty good, but sometimes they take a very long time. If you see a long line, turn around because twice I waited for an hour to get my food. But if there's no line they're generally pretty quick.

The steak meat tastes nothing like authentic Mexican steak. I've given it a second chance but never again, sorry :(

I got food poisoning from here. It was definitely this place, since I had eaten nothing else for the day. 10/10 would NOT recommend, I would rather go to Lucky Lab coffee Co (which is only a short walk away,) they have amazing breakfast tacos!

Cheap, nearby campus. Ofc it's not authentic but I can get 3 tacos for about 5 bucks. Also, their counter for salsa, cilantro, lime, ect. is fantastic

The front cashier was super sweet but she did something ,the food service-absolutely terrible...order completely wrong and when we requested the right order the other lady was so rude. The quesadillas are flatter than I have ever seen a tortilla look. Worst Taco Cabana.. what a shame

Taco Cabana at UT @ Austin Student Activity Center. Beef Fajita Taco Combo was nice and hot and tender. Great option for on campus eating.

Good salsa bar

Understaffed, 10 people waiting for orders, nearly depleted condiments bar, lunky app and clunky promotionals. I submitted a poor survey and corporate ignored the difficulties. This is in my neighborhood and I won’t be going back. Even for free food or gift cards.

Good service and the Margaritas we're good the food is always good.

The food at this location is way better than some of the other ones, especially the one on MLK. I just wish it had a drive thru!

They were rude. The lady at the front was not very helpful when I did not understand something. When I got my food I did not know I had to order chips with my dip. The lady who took my order yelled from across the area that I didn't order chips. I responded saying I didn't know I needed to. She just rolled her eyes and went back to taking other people's orders. When I was order, it was obvious that I had never then there before. I understand they are trying to move out a long line of people but, how hard is it to ask "do you want chips with that" when someone orders a dip?

Let me start by saying I go here a lot. And will continue to go here a lot. Taco Cabana, when it's good, it's really good. But it's so inconsistent that I have trouble recommending it. It isn't often that it reaches it's peak, whether it is an incorrect order or burnt chicken or stale chips.
